The Interview Chain:

“Everyone has something interesting to say if you take the time to listen. The Interview Chain is a series of conversations—each interviewee was asked to nominate someone they admire as the next link.

Starting from a casual conversation on a boat on the Thames, the chain wended its way for over 23,000 miles, alighting on three continents and gathering up personal perspectives on issues that really matter in the world today.”

Lynn’s writing is so consistently and subtly funny, without featuring blatant punchlines or jokes…It’s like discovering a new Lynne Truss, Sue Townsend or Alan Bennett

Bidisha, BBC Arts page, 2016

Delivery, coming 8th of July :

“When Daphne becomes pregnant, it isn’t only her life that changes…

Lives are changed, and the equilibrium each of them has achieved is fundamentally disturbed until, after the delivery, they can find a new balance for the future.”

PRAISE FOR FIVE SELVES:

“… lean, beautiful writing… a highly visual, spiritual gem.” Publishers Weekly starred review

“A significant new artistic voice.” Aharon Appelfeld

Despite the pandemic, words have not ceased to run across the page at Holland House Books : 2020 saw the arrival of Lili, an incredible memoir of Holocaust survival that starts in Poland and culminates in London, and An Island, a novel about a refugee and a lighthouse keeper.

These were preceded by two other titles: Paper Sparrows, which combines music, memory and warfare in modern Lebanon as a music student seeks out her missing brother just as the ‘July War’ erupts, and Café by Wren’s St James-in-the-Fields, Lunchtime: a collection of poems translated from Polish, illustrated with photography, covering a range of themes from cultural identity to family memories.
